WIENER/VIENNA/FRANKFURTER (WURSTEL)/HOT DOG

A moist sausage of soft, even texture and flavor, often made from mechanically recovered meat or meat slurry. Most types are cured or sometimes smoked and may have the casing removed after the cooking process. Hot dogs are sold fully cooked and ready to eat, although they are usually warmed before serving.
