STIRRUP CLOSURE
This term is used to describe a type of closure of pressure cooker consisting of a button of tightening and a stirrup fixed to the lid. The stirrup is a generally metallic part which crosses all the lid on its width. To close the lid, it is necessary to turn the button of tightening to lower the stirrup until it jams and until it closes the lid against the tank while assuring these two parts to stay stuck the one on the other one.
